Working Together to Provide Care

A partnership between your corporation or foundation and Project Open Hand can further your organization’s charitable mission by funding critical, cost-effective nutrition support services that fulfill an unmet need in your community. Partnership staff will work with your corporation or foundation to create a mutually beneficial partnership, specifically tailored to your organization’s guiding principals and focus areas.

You can see an example of our work with corporate donors through our Wall of Honor. You may see it in person by visiting us at our San Francisco location.

Another recognition opportunity is our Day/Week/Month of Love Program, the recognition of a corporate or foundation donation at our San Francisco or East Bay location for a day, week or month.

Corporate and foundation donations are also recognized in our annual report for the entire fiscal year that the donation was made. Each year, our annual report is sent to our donors and supporters. In addition, they are listed in Meal Times, our quarterly newsletter that is distributed to 36,000 individuals and businesses.

In addition, Project Open Hand would love to invite you and your board to have a meeting at our San Francisco facility. We are happy to cater the event with the same meals our clients will receive that evening. This is another excellent way to experience Project Open Hand.

Visit Project Open Hand and receive a tour of our facilities, as well as the opportunity to share lunch with Partnership staff and Executive Director, Tom Nolan. Visiting our facilities, in San Francisco or our grocery center in Oakland, is a wonderful way to truly experience the work of Project Open Hand.

For more information about the Partnership Program, to take advantage of one of our opportunities, or to schedule lunch and a tour, please contact Kate Peltier, Director of Corporate and Foundation Partnerships at (415) 447-2415, or via email.

Project Open Hand would like to thank all of our institutional donors, from private foundations to large corporations to local businesses, who support our nutrition programs through grants, employee matching gifts, and event sponsorships. Listed below are the donors who donated at least $5,000 from December 2010 through February 2010.
