| Corporate & Foundation Partnerships List of Supporters | Wall of Honor | Day/Week/Month of Love Program | Corporate Spotlight | The Quarter Cup Corporate Spotlight This quarter, Project Open Hand honors Union Pacific through our corporate spotlight. The Union Pacific Corporation is one of America's leading transportation companies. Its principal operating company, Union Pacific Railroad, is the largest railroad in North America, covering 23 states across two-thirds of the United States. Union Pacific Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Union Pacific Corporation and Union Pacific Railroad. Union Pacific believes that the quality of life in the communities in which its employees live and work is an integral part of its own success. Originally created as the Union Pacific Railroad Foundation in Omaha, Nebraska, the Foundation has distributed funds since 1959 to qualified organizations in communities served by Union Pacific. The Foundation is funded each year from the operating profits of the Union Pacific Corporation. The Union Pacific Foundation has been a generous partner with Project Open Hand in providing meals with love since 1999. Union Pacific has donated six gifts totaling $30,000 for our nutrition programs. A special thanks goes to our partners at Union Pacific from the staff, board, volunteers, and clients of Project Open Hand. Pictured below is Carol Harris of the Union Pacific Foundation, personally delivering a grant to Executive Director Tom Nolan at Project Open Hand's Polk Street facility.
