Project Open Hand has served Alameda County since 1989. Today, we are increasing outreach and building new partnerships in the East Bay so that we can more effectively reach this diverse, dynamic community.
Our Grocery Center is the heart of our East Bay operations. Located in downtown Oakland, it’s where clients pick up meals and groceries, Monday – Friday.
Groups are scheduled on a first come first serve basis. Lunch is provided for all volunteers, to be eaten before or after their shifts.
