Position Summary
The HR Compliance & Workforce Care Generalist supports the Director of HR Compliance & Workforce Care in administering and coordinating compliance, workforce care, workforce development, employee engagement, leave administration, accommodations, policy administration, workforce reporting, HR systems, and organizational effectiveness initiatives. The position serves as a professional-level HR resource responsible for supporting compliance activities, training administration, workforce programs, onboarding activities, employee engagement efforts, reporting and analytics, and HR-related projects in support of the organization's A3 Workforce Care goals.
This position is perfect for a highly engaged and personable HR professional familiar and comfortable with the confidentiality and professional boundary demands of such a position.
Qualifications Required
- 3+ years of progressive Human Resources experience in California.
- 1+ year of experience supporting recruitment, onboarding, and staffing activities.
- Experience supporting HR compliance, leave administration, accommodation processes, employee engagement, training, onboarding, recruitment, policy administration, or related HR functions.
- Working knowledge of federal, California state, and local employment laws, including FLSA, FMLA, CFRA, EEO, ADA, FEHA, ACA, COBRA, wage and hour laws, workplace safety requirements, workers' compensation, and leave administration.
- Experience administering or supporting leave of absence and accommodation processes under FMLA, CFRA, ADA, FEHA, Pregnancy Disability Leave, and related leave programs.
- Experience working with sensitive and confidential employee information and maintaining confidentiality.
- Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and project-coordination skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience working with HRIS systems (ADP Workforce Now preferred).
- Strong technology aptitude and ability to support HR systems, reporting tools, process improvements, and technology-related initiatives.
Qualifications Desired
- HR Certification
- Working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint
- Experience participating in HRIS implementation, migration, optimization, or system conversion projects.
- Project coordination or project management experience.
- Experience supporting organizational change, workforce initiatives, or process improvement efforts.
- Experience supporting labor relations environments.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint.
- Bilingual (Spanish, Tagalog, or Chinese preferred, not required).
