Celebrate SF Pride with us on June 30!

Founded as an AIDS service provider, Project Open Hand has a long history of supporting the LGBTQ+ community. Join our parade contingent as we boogie down Market Street! Those who join us for this event will receive an exclusive Project Open Hand Pride T-shirt.

Dress comfortable, with layers. You will receive your exclusive Project Open Hand t-shirt when you arrive. Bring a water bottle, comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses. Specific information for the contingent meet-up location and time will be provided soon.

The Richmond/Ermet AID Foundation (REAF) is hosting their annual show, Help is on the Way, and is partnering with Project Open Hand to help us provide medically tailored meals to the community. Join us for this special event featuring performances by Debby Boone, David Burnham, Faith Prince, Bruce Vilanch, Lisa Vroman, Jennifer Leigh Warren, Paula West, and cast members from the Broadway Touring Cast of Mrs. Doubtfire!

Events Donation

Project Open Hand is a 501(c) (3) tax-exempt charitable organization. In accordance with IRS regulations, contributions are fully deductible to the extent allowed by law. EIN 94-3023551.

Pride Beer Bust

Join us to celebrate the start of Pride Month at Project Open Hand's Pride Beer Bust at the SF Eagle Bar! Enjoy jello shots, a raffle, and more to support more meals with love. Proceeds to benefit Project Open Hand.  View the Facebook event page here.

Drag Bingo and Brunch at Parche

Join us at Parche in Oakland on Sunday, May 19th for Drag Brunch and bingo to support Project Open Hand! 

On Sunday, May 19th, the popular contemporary Columbian restaurant Parche will donate all DIY Mimosa drink sales from their bi-monthly Drag Brunch to Project Open Hand, helping us bring more meals with love to the community.

Come early when doors open at 11am to play bingo and win prizes before the first drag performance at 12pm!

Humphry Slocombe’s Concord Location Grand Opening

Support Project Open Hand and enjoy free ice cream as Humphry Slocombe celebrates their newest location opening at The Veranda in Concord! Humphry Slocombe will be giving out free scoops in honor of their opening day.

Project Open Hand has been selected as the featured nonprofit partner for the Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band shows at Chase Center on March 28 and March 31!

Project Open Hand team members will be stationed at the entrances and exits of the concert to collect donations. If you will be at one or both shows, please come find us and show your support.

Hosted by Lady Camden, fan favorite and first runner-up on RuPaul’s Drag Race season 14, Smuin’s The Christmas Ballet LGBTQ+ Night returns to ‘slay’ again with an especially queer one-night-only performance on Tuesday, December 19th in San Francisco that is sure to be just what you need this holiday season.

Portions of the evening’s ticket sales will benefit local LGBTQ+ service organizations including Project Open Hand! Every ticket sold helps us continue providing meals with love to the community.
