Oakland 30th Anniversary Open House

On October 17, 1989, the day of the Loma Prieta Earthquake, Project Open Hand launched its nutrition intervention services in Oakland, CA.

Drop-by to celebrate our 30th anniversary during an open house on Tuesday, October 29, 10am-2pm, at 1921 San Pablo Avenue. We hope to see you there! And Congratulations to our Oakland team for caring for our community in Alameda County!

AIDS Walk San Francisco 2019

AIDS Walk San Francisco is one of the most visible and recognizable events in the Western United States. People of all ages, races, and backgrounds come together each year in a massive, powerful, and inspiring demonstration of compassion and action.

Since 1987, AIDS Walk San Francisco has raised more than $90 million for HIV programs and services in the Bay Area and has grown into the largest and most visible AIDS Fundraising event in Northern California.

Project Open Hand Presents our 26th annual Hand to Hand Luncheon taking place on Thursday, December 13, 2018,  from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM at the Fairmont San Francisco.

Hand to Hand features a specially-prepared three course menu including five distinct entrees and tantalizing desserts, each dish hand-crafted by a Bay Area chef.

Oakland PRIDE

Join Project Open Hand at Oakland Pride Parade and Festival on Sunday, September 9th, 2018. We are proud to support Oakland Pride –  dedicated to educating the greater community, promoting equality, civic involvement and responsibility within Oakland and neighboring communities.

Oakland Pride Parade kicks off 10:30 AM at Broadway & 14th Street and ends at Broadway & 20th Street. Project Open Hand will march in the parade to celebrate our clients, volunteers, partners, and staff in the LGBT community. The Parade is free to attend and watch!
