Since 1998, Project Open Hand has served nutritious lunches to San Francisco seniors and adults with disabilities. We currently provide meals at 21 dining rooms across San Francisco.
Many of our meal sites offer activities, including nutrition education, bingo, arts and exercise. Our nutritious meals and social engagement can improve health by lowering risks for disease, depression and cognitive decline.
Who is eligible for our Senior Lunch Program? Seniors (60 years or older) and adults with disabilities (18-59 years old).
Note: Residents of San Francisco and Alameda Counties who are living with serious illnesses may be eligible for groceries and meals through our Wellness Programs. Click here to learn more about Project Open Hand's nutrition services for critically ill neighbors.
